Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) position in Johnson City, New York, involves providing high-quality patient care within a Medical Surgical Float role. This position requires candidates to be flexible and adaptable to various units, with a focus on cardiac telemetry and stepdown care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and must possess appropriate certifications and experience as outlined in the job description.

Job Details:

• Location: Johnson City, New York
• Schedule: 12 Nights; 36 hours per week, every other weekend, duration of 13 weeks.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years.
  • Management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years.
  • Five plus (5+) years of direct clinical experience.
  • Current New York State RN License.
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association, HSI, or American Red Cross).
  • Experience in a cardiac telemetry department, including TAVR, watchmans, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, post-op open heart transfer, cardiac IV and PO, cardiac drips (e.g., diltiazem, amiodarone, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, insulin), anticoagulants, CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, post-op CABG (>3 days), sepsis, pneumonia, stroke, observation patients, groin management, and use of TR band.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC).
  • EPIC experience.
• Skills:
  • Collaboration, Communication (verbal & written), Judgement/Critical Thinking, Organizational Understanding, Planning (Organizing, Time Management), Problem Solving, Quality, Reliability, Safety and Risk Management.
  • Ensure telemetry skills checklist is completed accurately.
  • Confirm cardiovascular experience with candidates prior to submission and highlight relevant experience/skills in the resume.
• Additional Information:
  • Please include telemetry skills checklist with submissions.
  • Applicants must have a valid Erie, Pennsylvania, experience with the specified cardiac and telemetry responsibilities.
  • The candidate should have at least 5 years of RN experience and relevant cardiac telemetry skills.
