OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Independence, KY by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Drive nationwide as an OTR solo CDL-A dry van operator with HMD Trucking out of Independence, KY. Your day-to-day includes managing long-haul schedules, adhering to ELD and logbook requirements, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, and coordinating with dispatch to protect freight and meet customer ETA expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Safely operate modern dry van tractors and complete timely interstate deliveries.
• Maintain meticulous trip documentation, delivery receipts, and loading paperwork.
• Report vehicle issues for prompt in-house maintenance support.

Requirements & Opportunity:

• CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months’ verifiable experience required.
• Compensation begins at 65¢/mi with ~2,500 weekly mile averages, performance bonuses, current-model trucks with sleepers/APUs, biweekly home time and full benefits.
