CDL Class A Driver – Drop & Hook
Location: Piscataway, NJ
We are hiring dependable CDL Class A Drivers for Drop & Hook positions at our Piscataway, NJ location.
Truck Info
- Vehicle Class: Class A
- Truck Type: Dry Van
- Transmission: Automatic
- Slip Seating: Yes (company works to keep drivers in the same truck as much as possible)
- Fleet Age: 5 years old or less
- Cameras: Yes – driver-facing and road-facing
Responsibilities
- Delivering beverage products via drop & hook (no loading/unloading required)
- Stops per day vary based on delivery schedule; drivers typically work 10-hour days
- Delivery radius: 200 miles from the Piscataway branch (occasional deliveries into NY – drivers must be comfortable with NY locations if needed)
Schedule
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Start Times: 8 PM–10:00 PM (third shift)
- Average Hours: 50–55 hours per week
- Overnights: None – drivers are home daily
- Routes: Similar week to week, subject to occasional changes
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $27.50/hour
- Overtime: After 40 hours/week (daily OT after 10 hours)
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
- Bonuses: Union membership eligibility after permanent hire; safety bonus potential up to $1,000
Requirements
- Experience: 2–3 years preferred (2-year minimum)
- Physical Requirements: No lifting requirements; occasional sweeping out of trailer
- Endorsements: Tanker preferred, not required
- Minimum Age: 21
Background Requirements
- Felony: Not accepted
- Misdemeanor: Not accepted
- DUI: Not accepted
- SAP Program: Not accepted
