Here's a summary of responsibilities:

Responsible for the safe, courteous, and expeditious transport of USOPC program participants to assigned destination, while upholding a professional appearance and maintaining flexibility in the schedule.

Here’s how you’ll have an impact:

  • Safely execute the transportation schedule as assigned in a timely manner, adjusting to changing circumstances as they occur (i.e., late flight arrivals). Maintain communication to receive updated information with airport, airlines, and OPTC staff.
  • Conduct basic maintenance check of assigned vehicles and fleet to assure safety and functional capabilities are operative. Identify and report potential problems to the Vehicle Services Manager.
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading of luggage and aid guests, as needed, when boarding and departing the vehicle. Answer any questions about the OPTC and surrounding area that guests may have on their transit to/from the OPTC.
  • Evidence pride in the USOPC, the department, and in the position. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor. Display punctuality and be both neat and clean in personal appearance. Show respect for equipment and supplies.
  • Document all instances of transporting a minor, one-on-one, in accordance with the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP). Ensure each occurrence is due to an “emergent” situation, as classified by MAAPP.
  • Maintain clear communication with the CSOPTC Operations team to stay informed on arrivals, delays, passenger numbers, and other transportation changes.
  • Remain pleasant in manner, flexible in approach, even-tempered, friendly, readily cooperative with others, and patient with unexpected changes.
  • Respond to transportation needs on short notice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must hold a valid Colorado state driver’s license with a CDL Class C with P endorsement (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
  • 3+ years’ experience operating multi-passenger vehicles
  • Knowledge of vehicle operations to include the preventive maintenance process and procedures
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills

Here are the tools, equipment, & conditions:

  • Standard office equipment
  • Drive vehicles in all types of weather and road conditions
  • Multi-passenger (2-40) vehicles, including buses, vans, and SUVs
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 65 pounds
  • Non-traditional hours on occasion, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Wheelchair lift for handicap access to vehicles
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential job function

Here's some more information you need to know:

  • Hiring pay range $18.70 - $19.00 per hour.
  • This Part-Time, Non-Exempt position is intended to work 32 hours per week.
