The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview Performs echocardiograms with Doppler and color flow analysis to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to determine each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology (required) Certifications And Licenses Required Maintain required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care provider course completion through American Heart Association Current RDCS/RCS certification Scheduling Requirements Flex Schedule Coverage for day, evening and weekend shifts Essential Functions Assume ECHO charge role and function effectively Charging Demonstrate competency by accurately charging patient for procedures performed Communication Transmit pertinent patient information to appropriate individual (MD, supervisor, nurse, discharge planner, etc.) Comply with departmental scheduling guidelines Contrast Perform echo with contrast Critical Tests And Results Communicate results to RN and Physician Doppler Obtain Doppler recordings of heart Echo Machine Demonstrate understanding and maintenance of echo machine Implement policies and procedures of the hospital and NICL Pain Management Report patient's pain intensity to staff nurse Participate in training new employees and students Patient Education Provide patient/family education regarding test being performed Probe Closet Routinely ensure probes are present and hanging correctly in closet Protocols Perform echo procedures in accordance with ICAEL standards and protocol RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
