Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel to join its Regulatory Energy practice in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in the energy sector, focusing on regulatory, legislative, litigation, and transactional matters. Duties Provide legal counsel on regulatory matters in the energy industry. Represent clients in negotiations and power purchase agreements with utilities. Advise on state and federal utility regulations. Support clients in legislative and transactional energy matters. Requirements 7+ years of experience in the energy industry. Proven track record in regulatory and legislative matters. Experience with utility regulation at state and federal levels. Education J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Valid authorization to work in the U.S. Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Problem‑solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
