Lead Android Software Engineer

Salary: $179,400 - 225,100 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree.
• We need at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not count.
• We require at least 3 years of experience building Android applications.
• We require at least 3 years of hands-on Kotlin experience.
• A masters degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of Android application development experience is preferred.
• 4+ years of Kotlin experience is preferred.
• 4+ years working with open-source frameworks is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience using Agile practices is preferred.
• Experience using interactive AI tools to boost productivity beyond basic code completion is preferred.

• We develop Android client solutions that align with product strategy and follow established engineering standards, design principles, and best practices.
• We collaborate with software engineers, UX/UI partners, quality engineers, and product owners/analysts to deliver high-performing, engaging customer experiences.
• We actively participate in Agile ceremonies and help ensure team commitments are completed on time and to a high standard.
• We advocate for the mobile platform internally and externally through developer communities.
• We continuously learn technologies related to mobile development, including Kotlin, Swift, and third-party libraries.
• We contribute to team discussions, incorporate broader team feedback, and help move decisions forward.
• We mentor junior and mid-level team members.
• We work closely with developers across Android, iOS, APIs, web, and other disciplines.
• We own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs alongside senior engineers and architects.
• We share best practices consistently and improve processes across sprint teams.
• We identify technical blockers early and partner with the team to develop creative solutions.
• We review pull requests and verify adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms.
• We provide SME-level leadership and help grow the teams technical capability.
