Job Description Job Description Job Title: Concrete Repair Technician Job Description The Concrete Repair Technician performs heavy, labor‑intensive concrete restoration work on commercial and infrastructure projects across New York and New Jersey. This role involves chipping, grinding, patching, concrete finishing, and structural repair in high‑dust, high‑intensity environments. The technician follows strict safety procedures, uses fall‑protection equipment, and wears respirators while working on both indoor and outdoor construction sites. Responsibilities * Perform concrete repair and restoration tasks including chipping, demolition, patching, concrete finishing, and structural repair on commercial and infrastructure projects. * Use hand tools and power tools such as chipping guns, grinders, and other concrete repair equipment safely and efficiently. * Work with concrete, masonry, rebar, formwork, and epoxy materials as part of repair and restoration activities. * Follow established construction safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. * Wear and properly maintain a half‑face respirator and comply with fit‑test requirements, including remaining clean‑shaven where the mask seals. * Work comfortably at heights using fall‑protection systems on temporary flooring, scaffolding, and elevated platforms. * Operate in high‑dust, noisy, and physically demanding environments while maintaining productivity and quality standards. * Collaborate with field crews, including primarily Spanish‑speaking teams, to complete projects on schedule. * Travel regularly between job sites in New York and New Jersey as required by project needs. * Complete and adhere to extensive safety training and job site procedures before and during field assignments. Essential Skills * Heavy concrete labor experience in chipping, demolition, patching, concrete finishing, and structural repair. * Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work long hours in demanding environments. * Ability to read and speak English to understand work instructions and safety documentation. * Experience using chipping guns, grinders, and other concrete repair tools. * Comfort working at heights while using fall‑protection systems on temporary platforms and scaffolding. * Ability to wear a half‑face respirator (3M 3000 series or similar) and meet fit‑test requirements, including being clean‑shaven where the mask seals. * Familiarity with construction safety protocols and proper use of PPE. * Willingness and ability to travel between job sites in New York and New Jersey. * Reliable transportation to reach various job locations. * Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team, including primarily Spanish‑speaking crews. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Prior experience in concrete restoration, waterproofing, or structural repair is preferred. * Comfort working on temporary flooring, scaffolding, and elevated platforms. * Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces as required by project conditions. * OSHA safety certifications are a plus but not required. * Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a strong plus. * Familiarity with construction‑related documentation and systems such as submittals and Procore is beneficial. * Commitment to completing extensive safety training before starting field work. * Understanding of safety practices related to rebar, formwork, epoxy, and other construction materials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NYC, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
