JOB DESCRIPTION Mission / Purpose of the role Support development and scaling of career advancement resources across the physician journey (student resident/fellow early career mid-career senior leadership) Help identify unmet needs in physiciancareer transitions and professional development Bring an emerging physician/resident perspective into strategy and program design Support creation of innovative offerings that build leadership, business, and future-ready skills 1. Program Innovation and Career Development Work to identify unmet needs and support the design, development, testing, and scaling of programs and resources that advance physician careers across the professional lifecycle. Help translate stakeholder insights and emerging trends into innovative and scalable initiatives. Examples: Support design and implementation of new Career Advancement Collective programs and pilots Conduct environmental scans and benchmark leading models across healthcare, academia, and other sectors Develop concepts for educational resources and career development initiatives Assist with implementation and evaluation of pilot programs 2. Leadership and Professional Skills Development Work to strengthen physician leadership capabilities and support development of educational experiences that build leadership, business, and management competencies needed for success in evolving healthcare environments. Examples: Support leadership initiatives such as a Physician Leadership Academy Assist with curriculum design, competency development, and educational content Contribute to programming related to healthcare finance, strategic planning, communication, negotiation, operations, entrepreneurship, and AI literacy Develop leadership tools and learning resources 3. Career Transitions and Physician Lifecycle Support Work to develop resources and initiatives that support physicians through key career transitions and milestones across the full career arc, from training through leadership and career evolution. Examples: Support development of career roadmaps, mentorship opportunities, and transition resources Identify opportunities to strengthen support across career stages Explore emerging needs related to career advancement and professional growth 4. Emerging Physician Insights and Future Workforce Strategy Work to incorporate perspectives of residents, fellows, and early-career physicians into program strategy and identify future workforce needs influenced by changing expectations, technology, and healthcare delivery models. Examples: Serve as a voice for trainees and emerging physicians Conduct listening sessions and gather qualitative insights Identify workforce trends, gaps, and opportunities Support digital health, AI, and future-of-medicine initiatives 5. Research, Insights, and Thought Leadership Work to generate and synthesize research, workforce insights, and environmental trends that inform strategy and support development of thought leadership related to physician career advancement and professional development. Examples: Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans Analyze physician workforce and career trends Develop recommendations and strategic insights Translate findings into actionable program opportunities
