Brand Marketing Specialist

Our client, a leading specialty retail and consumer lifestyle brand, is seeking a Specialist, Brand Marketing to support its growing Beauty business. This newly created role will play a key part in bringing category marketing strategies to life through cross-functional collaboration, campaign execution, and in-season optimization initiatives. Our ideal candidate is a highly organized and creative marketer with experience supporting omni-channel campaigns, developing compelling brand storytelling, and collaborating across multiple business functions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a high-growth category while partnering with teams across Merchandising, Planning, Creative, and Channel Marketing

• Location: Columbus, OH (hybrid)
• Duration: 4-month contract
• Pay Rate: $40/hour
• Hours: 40 hours/week

Responsibilities:


Category Growth & Marketing Strategy

• Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives designed to drive growth within the Beauty category.
• Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Creative, and Channel Marketing teams to bring category-specific strategies to life.
• Monitor consumer trends, competitive activity, and cultural moments to identify opportunities and inform storytelling.
• Help develop compelling category narratives that drive engagement and business results.

Go-to-Market Execution

• Support integrated marketing campaigns across website, app, email, SMS, social media, and paid media channels.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of marketing briefs, frameworks, and campaign materials.
• Ensure consistent promotional and product storytelling across digital and in-store touchpoints.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders to support launches, trend-driven initiatives, and influencer activations.

Performance Optimization

• Support test-and-learn initiatives, product launches, and emerging category opportunities.
• Analyze campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to post-campaign recaps and provide actionable recommendations based on key learnings.
• Assist in executing high-priority brand and category initiatives throughout the season.

Project Coordination

• Provide day-to-day project management support across marketing initiatives.
• Help manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in brand marketing, category marketing, product marketing, or a related field.
• Retail, beauty, fashion, or consumer products experience preferred.
• Experience supporting omni-channel marketing campaigns and go-to-market execution.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Creative thinker with a passion for consumer trends, storytelling, and brand building.
