About the Role: In this vital position, you will deliver inpatient cardiology services on-site, working from early mornings into late afternoons, with some nights dedicated to on-call duties. Your expertise will ensure seamless continuity of care during critical periods, making a real difference in patient outcomes. Flexibility and commitment are key, as we seek providers capable of covering multiple weeks for optimal consistency and excellence. Required Skills: Valid and active medical license in the state of employment Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Cardiology Proven experience in inpatient care settings with a focus on cardiology Ability to work both day shifts (7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and night call duties (5 p.m. – 7 a.m.) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong time management and adaptability under pressure Nice to Have Skills: Prior locum or temporary assignments experience Familiarity with electronic medical records systems Additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or related specialties Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution At least 2 years of clinical experience in internal medicine and cardiology, preferably with inpatient focus Recent experience working in hospital or inpatient environments Other Requirements: Willingness to work both inpatient daytime shifts and night on-call responsibilities Ability to commit to multiple coverage weeks for continuity Prompt response to outreach from site coordinators Availability to work within scheduled weeks of September 7–13, October 26–November 1, December 21–27, and December 28–January 3, 2027 OT hours applicable after 10 hours per day at an hourly rate of $1.00 (Note: the rate appears standard; please confirm during application) Take the next step in your career by applying now and becoming a critical part of our dedicated healthcare team.
