Production Specialist

Job Overview This is a temporary role with the potential to convert to a permanent hire, working first shift (Mon‑Fri 5:30am‑2:00pm). No evenings or weekend shifts are required. Responsibilities Manufacture Topcon products to the highest standards in a modern production facility, utilizing advanced technology and traditional craft techniques. Plan work by reviewing product fulfillment orders and blueprints, following precise configuration instructions. Maintain necessary supplies by tracking inventory and replenishing stock as needed. Operate a variety of production equipment, including microscopes, soldering tools, automatic washers, magnet cranes, thermal testing chambers, sand blasters, etc. Secure parts using crimps, screws, solder, and hand tools. Validate product quality by evaluating materials and workmanship at each production stage, ensuring tight tolerances and high Quality Control standards. Collaborate with team members to solve problems and enhance overall value. Qualifications At least 18 years old. Prior work experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment is preferred; not required. Prior soldering experience is preferred; training will be provided. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Work involves pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching, bending, carrying, walking, and picking and pulling material from workstations above shoulder level. Wear steel‑toe shoes/boots meeting the OSHA standard ASTM F2413‑18. Willingness to work overtime as required. Topcon is an equal opportunity employer.
