What You'll Do:

• Review and gross benign lesions, colon cancer resections, and native livers in our Doan lab
• Procure specimens for research, including tissue selection for karyotyping and biopsy grossing
• Assist in handling specimens from our University Hospital operating room
• Support workload logistics, including cancer case management and specimen processing
• Ensure quality and accuracy in grossing and tissue handling procedures
• Collaborate with pathology team to meet laboratory standards
• Contribute to research activities and specimen procurement as needed

What You Need:

• Valid PA (ASCP) certification
• Minimum 1 year of relevant lab experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment:

This role involves working in our Doan laboratory, handling specimens primarily from benign lesions, with some cancer resections. The position offers a consistent schedule supporting work-life balance, with opportunities to focus on benign cases and biopsies.
