Job Summary:

We're seeking a vibrant Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at Seaside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. As an Activities Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating engaging programs and activities that bring joy and connection to our residents. Responsibilities:

• Help plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities, including games, music, crafts, and social events, to support residents' physical, social, and emotional well-being
• Connect with residents to build meaningful relationships and encourage participation
• Create inclusive and accessible activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities
• Set up and maintain activity spaces, ensuring supplies and equipment are organized and ready for use
• Participate in team meetings and training to stay up-to-date on new programs and ideas
• Maintain accurate records of resident involvement and activity success
• Assist with other tasks as needed to support the Activities Director and department

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with older adults in recreational or social settings (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive and upbeat personality with a genuine passion for helping others
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
