Dental Front Desk Coordinator

Description Full‑time / Part‑time position: As the Dental Front Desk Coordinator, you are the face and voice of our practice. You will be the first point of contact, setting the tone for patients’ visits while managing scheduling, check‑ins, and basic billing to keep the front office running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Patient Experience & Reception Warmly greet patients upon arrival; manage check‑in/check‑out process. Handle a multi‑line phone system with a friendly, professional demeanor. Collect and update patient demographics, medical histories, and insurance information accurately in practice management software. Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized reception area. Scheduling & Flow Optimization Efficiently book, cancel, and reschedule appointments to maximize daily production goals and minimize gaps. Proactively follow up on unconfirmed appointments via phone, email, or text. Manage the continuing care/recall system to ensure patients return for routine cleanings and check‑ups. Billing & Financial Administration Collect co‑pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service. Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments. Balance the daily log, process credit card transactions, and prepare end‑of‑day deposits.
