Position: Clinical Nurse Coordinator - 7E Cardiac Tele Location: Chicago, IL Role Overview: The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for facilitating unit operations, providing clinical expertise, and acting as a resource for staff and medical teams. Key duties include coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, conducting patient rounds, managing staffing and assignments based on acuity, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The role involves delegating tasks, mentoring staff, participating in emergency responses, and ensuring seamless communication across departments. The coordinator also plays a vital role in staff orientation, performance evaluations, and process improvements. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an approved nursing program, with a Bachelor of Nursing preferred; at least two years of staff nursing experience; clinical skills, effective communication, teaching, and motivational abilities; and current Illinois RN license. Specialty board certification within two years is desirable, along with CPR certification. Key Duties: Facilitate patient care and unit functioning, oversee staffing, delegate tasks, participate in emergency and disaster protocols, evaluate staff, and support quality and safety initiatives.
