Nebraska Cancer Specialists is the regional leader in cancer diagnosis, treatment and research. We are growing and seeking an Oncology Triage Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated and inspiring team. The Oncology Triage RN will assess patient needs and intervene appropriately based on clinical knowledge, established policies/procedures and protocols, and collaboration with other team members.

$2000 sign on bonus!

Duties include:

• Performs telephone triage to determine patient needs and advises patient based on provider/order instructions.
• Receives and returns patient calls within a timely manner.
• Consults patient's chart while talking to the patient.
• Assists call center schedulers by working patient lists and scheduling appointments as directed.
• Handles prescription renewals/inquiries to facilitate patient care. Discusses questions and relays information to pharmacy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN) required.
• Minimum 1-year clinical experience required.
• Current valid Registered Nurse
• Customer service experience
