Position Overview


As the Mammography Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical activities of the mammography service. Your role is a blend of hands-on technical work and administrative leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services while maintaining a safe and efficient environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, managing staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage the daily operations of the mammography service.
• Ensure all quality control and quality assurance measures are in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform mammography procedures and other related imaging, as needed.
• Participate in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
• Provide mentorship and clinical instruction to technologists and new staff.
• Collaborate with the management team to assist with long-range planning and departmental goals.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Education:
  
  
  • An Associate's Degree in Radiological Technology or an equivalent in an approved A.M.A. program is required.
• Experience:
  
  
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressively more responsible experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Certifications:
  
  
  • A national certification is required upon hire. You must hold one of the following:
    
    
    • California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification, OR
    • California Fluoroscopy Certificate/Permit, OR
    • California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification, OR
    • National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, OR
    • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, OR
    • National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, OR
    • National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, OR
    • National Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
