As an NP or PA, you will examine patients, collect medical histories, and make tentative diagnoses for both minor and major issues. You will read diagnostic tests, interpret data, explain test results and diagnoses to patients, and prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval. The main practice setting includes outpatient and hospital environments. The ideal candidate has excellent bedside manner, experience in charting within a medical setting, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role also involves direct contact with research projects; research experience is a plus.
