Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
- Wash and sanitize bakery and restaurant containers, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.
- Report any broken tools, equipment, or machines to a supervisor or manager for repair or replacement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- California Food Handler Card required
- Ability and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and understand chemical labels, safety instructions, and work-related documents.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, handling equipment, and cleaning tasks.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Ability to lift and move racks, utensils, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to lift and empty trash containers weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to safely operate and handle kitchen/bakery tools and equipment.
- Work environment may include exposure to moving equipment, airborne particles, cleaning chemicals, and moderate to high noise levels.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively through speaking and listening.
