Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Nursing Team: Tele-Neuro Unit

Job Description:


- Position: Registered Nurse in M/S 4S (Tele-Neuro) Unit
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule:
- 6-9 weekends in a 6-week rotation
- First to float; potential to float within Zone 3 during extreme need
- Orientation:
- Week of orientation required; in-state presence mandatory even for remote modules
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:4 during day shifts
- 1:5 during night shifts
- Required Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Common Diagnoses:
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Hypertension
- Chest Pain Work-Ups
- Acute Exacerbations of COPD, Asthma, and Pneumonia
- Pancreatitis
- Bowel Obstructions
- Gastrointestinal Bleeding
- Acute Renal Failure
- Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with cardiac drips and post-cath lab care
- Ability to titrate drips, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives
- Support Team:
- Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available (Charge Nurse may take an assignment)
- Nurse Aids with an approximate ratio of 10-12:1
- Equipment:
- CPAP, HFNC, and NRB for respiratory support
- Telemetry monitoring with RN co-signing strips
- Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
- Full and part-time staff expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts in a six-week schedule

- Up to 4 shifts can be cancelled by the hospital for 13-week assignments; 3 shifts for less than 13 weeks
