Cypress Funeral Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Funeral Service Assistant to support funeral directors and families during funeral services, visitations, memorial services, and other related activities.

This is an as-needed, on-call position based on business needs and employee availability. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, attentive to detail, and comfortable assisting families during a sensitive and emotional time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist funeral directors with the setup and coordination of funeral services, visitations, memorial services, and other events.
• Greet and welcome families, guests, and visitors and direct them to the appropriate chapel or service location.
• Assist with setting up caskets, flowers, religious items, photographs, memorial displays, chairs, and other service-related items.
• Assist with the movement of caskets and other funeral-related equipment before, during, and after services.
• Monitor floral deliveries and ensure flowers and memorial items are placed in the appropriate location.
• Assist with audio and video equipment, music, and other service-related technology as needed.
• Assist with parking, funeral processions, and directing vehicles when necessary.
• Drive company vehicles, including vans, flower cars, limousines, and hearses, as assigned.
• Deliver flowers, urns, photographs, keepsakes, and other items related to funeral services.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional environment before, during, and after services.
• Remain attentive throughout services and assist the funeral director with unexpected needs to help ensure services run smoothly.
• Communicate service issues, family needs, or other concerns to the funeral director or management.

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and grooming appropriate for funeral services.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with the physical requirements associated with funeral services.
