The Opportunity

A 151-bed regional medical center in western Montana is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join its radiation oncology team. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday role with a $20,000 sign-on bonus - an uncommon combination in radiation therapy, where evenings and weekend rotations are routine at many facilities. The schedule runs 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with no travel required.

Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on experience.

The Role

The Radiation Therapist works under the supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager to deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the treating physician, in accordance with established clinical standards and practices. The position is integrated into a full radiation oncology treatment team and involves daily patient interaction, cross-functional collaboration, and applied clinical judgment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering prescribed radiation treatments with precision and consistency
• Applying knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulatory requirements (NRC and applicable agencies)
• Utilizing healthcare informatics tools - including computers, clinical guidelines, and communication systems - to manage and retrieve patient data
• Communicating effectively with patients, family members, the oncology team, and outside entities
• Exercising independent critical thinking and problem-solving within the department

Experience with Aria, Eclipse Treatment Planning, and Philips CT software is a plus, though not required.

What You Bring

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent
• Radiation Therapy Certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team
