Summary

Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Estimator. This role involves reviewing and interpreting complex construction drawings, project specifications, and bid documentation to perform detailed and accurate material and labor takeoffs. The ideal candidate will develop comprehensive pricing models and support overall bid strategy and proposal development.

Job Function

• Review and interpret complex construction drawings, project specifications, and bid documentation.
• Perform detailed and accurate material and labor takeoffs.
• Develop comprehensive pricing models ensuring all labor, material, subcontractor, and compliance requirements are precisely reflected.
• Support overall bid strategy and proposal development while managing timelines to ensure accurate and on-time submissions.
• Partner closely with the internal estimating team and other departments to maintain high bid accuracy and align on project evaluation.
• Support the pricing of change orders and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of active project costs.
• Ensure all estimates adhere to public, municipal, and general contractor compliance standards and project requirements.

Job Requirements

• 3 years of experience in New Construction & Public Bid Estimating.
