Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians work independently and collaboratively with plant personnel to complete Preventative, Predictive, and Reactive Maintenance tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of equipment within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Proactively perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
• Understand and adhere to Environmental and Safety policies.
• Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement program (5s, TPM).
• Ensure daily communication with other shifts and supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to plan tasks, create material lists, and order parts.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, schematics, and drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with mechanical and electrical repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with support systems (compressors) preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate controlled facility and operates on the 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday. The position requires dealing with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with a focus on 60% mechanical and 40% electrical tasks, including working with 3-phase systems, Allen-Bradley, and PLCs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
