As a Medical Records Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:Staff Supervision: Direct subordinate staff by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing trainingRecord Management: Organize and maintain inmate health records in accordance with policy and documentation standardsRecord Processing: File, issue, and prepare medical records for transfers, parole, and legal proceedingsQuality Review: Examine medical records for completeness and refer incomplete documentation for correctionStatistical Reporting: Compile reports on subjects such as morbidity, mortality, and service usageProcess Improvement: Evaluate recordkeeping methods and support quality assurance effortsInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work weekWork hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Required Experience, Training & EligibilityQualificationsSpecial Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certificate or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certificate issued by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), or eligibility for certification including completion of an AHIMA approved RHIT or RHIA Health Information Management education program.Post Employment Requirement:Employees who meet the Necessary Special Requirement based on the eligibility option for the RHIT or RHIA certification must obtain one of these certifications within 12 months of employment.Other Requirements:Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.How to Apply:Resumes, cover letters, and similar documents will not be reviewed, and the information contained therein will not be considered for the purposes of determining your eligibility for the position.
