Magna Engineered Glass is expanding our second and third shift team with seasoned Process Technicians who love shaving seconds off cycle times, cutting downtime from setups and changeovers, and elevating product quality through disciplined process control.
What you will do- Start up and shut down plastic injection molding machines; verify auxiliaries (water systems, material feeds, heaters, robots) are production‑ready.
- Troubleshoot and refine molding processes for existing and new parts to improve yields and stability.
- Reduce delays tied to die/mold changes and process setups.
- Respond rapidly to production concerns and resolve issues at the source.
- Document every process tweak and adjustment with precision.
- Develop and update process sheets and parameters for new program introductions.
- Configure, debug, and optimize end‑of‑arm tooling to enhance throughput and quality.
- Handle hazardous waste in a safe, compliant manner.
- Support cleaning and preventive maintenance that protect uptime.
- Engage in CI and problem‑solving initiatives across shifts.
- Act as an authorized member of the facility spill response team.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Level 1
- 3–5 years in a technical manufacturing role.
- Hands‑on ability to troubleshoot and update equipment/systems in your area.
- Clear, professional communication in English.
- 1–2+ years at Level 1 or a comparable mix of education and experience.
- Demonstrated injection molding proficiency; RJG systematic molding experience preferred.
- Strong written/verbal communication and collaboration.
- Works independently and within teams with consistent professionalism.
- 3–5+ years at Level 2 or equivalent background.
- Proficiency with ABB Level 1 Robot training.
- Excellent teamwork and professional presence.
- Advanced problem solving and project management.
- Self‑directed with minimal supervision.
- Advanced molding capability; RJG Advanced Edart and Master Molder 1 preferred.
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Injection molding experience
- Tool/die/mold setup experience
