Attorney

Milber Makris Plousadis & Seiden, LLP, a full-service civil litigation defense firm and business partner to the insurance industry, is seeking a highly motivated defense attorney with 3 to 8+ years' experience handling professional liability claims and/or representing architects and engineers and handling complex construction claims. Candidate must have superior analytical and communication skills and must have prior experience taking & defending depositions. Qualification requirements:

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Florida and in good standing
• Exhibits an in-depth knowledge of Florida Court Rules and Procedures
• Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and legal analysis
• Strong work ethic, ability to manage caseload and work in a team environment
• Highly detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings and trials preferred

Duties and responsibilities of attorneys include but are not limited to:

• Managing caseload (with oversight by partners depending on experience level)
• Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
• Research and writing of memorandums
• Reporting to clients
• Attending hearings and court conferences
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Attending xhyhwjd site inspections
• Consulting with expert witnesses
• Attending mediations
• Trial preparation and trials
