Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required for contract labor Must-Have: - At least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department - BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications for contract labor - Strong communication skills with patients and peers - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills - Dependability and punctuality - Strong understanding of medical terminology Description: This is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse specialized in the Emergency Department. The nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population with multiple comorbidities. Patients may include those experiencing trauma, stroke, sepsis, and complicated heart conditions. The unit includes a secure locked psychiatric area and utilizes flexible staffing to meet patient needs. Typical patient ratios are 4:1, with additional support during acute surges. The nurse will use various equipment, including ultrasound machines, IV skills, and infusion devices. The role requires motivation, hard work, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine desire to care for patients. Weekends may be required every other week for contract labor. No floating to other areas will be required for this position.
