## Senior Accountant

Our client is a growing national provider of commercial restoration, reconstruction, renovation, roofing and capital-improvement services. The organization works with commercial property owners and operators across healthcare, senior living, hospitality, multifamily, institutional, office and other commercial markets.

We are seeking a **Senior Accountant** to join the Finance & Accounting team and report directly to the Corporate Controller. This is a **non-supervisory role** offering the opportunity to play an important part in the company's month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and broader accounting operations.

### What You'll Do

* Prepare month-end close journal entries
* Post and reconcile cash receipts
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
* Review general and subsidiary ledger balances for accuracy and GAAP compliance
* Maintain the fixed asset subledger and related financial reporting
* Prepare financial statement packages and supporting schedules
* Assist with annual audit and tax-compliance requests
* Support lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842
* Prepare ad hoc financial and accounting analyses
* Assist with special accounting projects and implementation of new accounting guidance
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures
* Partner with Operations, HR and other internal stakeholders on accounting-related matters
* Perform additional accounting responsibilities as needed

### What We're Looking For

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
+ progressive accounting/finance experience
* Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
* Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
* Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
* Experience working with a general ledger/ERP system
* Excellent organizational and analytical skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team

### Preferred Experience

* Construction or related industry experience
* Acumatica or another construction ERP
* Public accounting experience
* CPA
* MBA
* Construction/job-cost accounting
* Fixed assets and/or lease accounting experience
* Experience supporting audits and tax compliance
