Medical Assistant Certified - USFTGP UMSA Clinical Ops Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits. Overview Position type: Full-time. Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday. Location: USF Health South Tampa Center, Tampa, FL. Eligible for On Site work only. Responsibilities Assist with patient rooming and clinical procedures as directed. Provide cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment. Prepare charts and obtain referral notes, images, and lab results prior to patient visits. Perform clerical duties essential to the practice, including answering phones, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Support the clinical team under general supervision of department leaders and senior staff. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED – Required Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or MA-ARMA Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting Demonstrates understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures Skill in drawing blood for laboratory testing and proper specimen handling Proficiency with electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and retrieval of patient information Ability to perform clinical tasks (e.g., patient rooming) and ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment Ability to prepare for and assist with medical procedures Ability to perform clerical duties essential to the operations of the practice Primary Location: Tampa Work Locations: USF Health South Tampa Center 2 Tampa General Circle Tampa 33606 Eligible for Remote Work: On Site Job Type: On Site | Department: Nursing (Technical/Clerical) | Organization: Academic Medical Group Inc Shift: Day Job | Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm Salary: Minimum Salary: 37,252.80 #J-18808-Ljbffr USF Health
