Make a positive impact supporting students as a dedicated educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, expanding your professional experience across multiple campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH).
- Previous experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of assessment, instructional strategies, and assistive technology for DHH students.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with general education staff, students, and families.
- Proficiency with both in-person and virtual instruction methods.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Flexibility to support students across five campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and support services to DHH students as outlined in their IEPs.
- Prepare and adapt materials to meet individual learning needs.
- Work closely with school staff and families to promote inclusion and access.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Attend meetings, contribute to IEP development, and advocate for student needs.
- Utilize both virtual and onsite approaches for service delivery as assigned.
