Pest Control Technician

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for providing safe, effective, and professional pest control services to residential and commercial customers throughout the Montgomery, Alabama area. This position involves inspecting properties for signs of pest activity, identifying pest problems, applying appropriate treatments, and providing customers with recommendations for preventing future infestations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity, entry points, and conditions that may contribute to infestations.
• Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively according to company procedures, product labels, and safety guidelines.
• Operate a company vehicle and travel to assigned customer locations throughout the service area.
• Communicate with customers regarding pest concerns, treatment plans, completed services, and prevention recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of services performed, treatments applied, and customer concerns.
• Safely handle, store, transport, and use pest control products, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Perform routine follow-up visits and monitor treated areas to ensure pest control services are effective.
• Identify opportunities for additional services based on customer needs and property conditions.
• Maintain company equipment and vehicles in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
• Follow assigned service routes and manage time effectively to complete scheduled appointments.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service while addressing questions and concerns.
• Work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors, office staff, and team members.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable pest control regulations.
• Perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces when required.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record for the past three years, with no more than two violations, including traffic tickets and at-fault accidents.
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle and travel to assigned customer locations.
• Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screening requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned daily service route.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, product labels, safety procedures, and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pest control, lawn care, landscaping, maintenance, construction, route service, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a customer-facing service position.
• Knowledge of common household and commercial pests, pest behavior, and basic prevention methods.
• Experience using hand tools, power equipment, sprayers, or other service-related equipment.
