Twin County Regional Healthcare, a Duke Lifepoint Hospital, is seeking qualified primary care physicians to join our team in expanding our outpatient primary care services to the greater Galax region of southwestern Virginia. Position basics: Employment: Physician group employed position (hospital employed). Expectations: In office care consist of 20-25 patients per day with 40-50 new patients a month. Traditional model includes outpatient clinic, newborn nursery, minimal inpatient and delivery care. Current practice structure: Physicians, APPs, clerical staff, LPNs, lactation consultant, office manager. Schedule: Standard office hours with flexible day options to extend hours for 4-5 days per week. Shared call 10 days minimum with one weekend per month. Location: Office located less than 1ml from hospital. Service area includes Galax and surrounding counties. Equipment and services: In office lab for rapid test and CBCs, lactation consulting. Accolades and accreditations: Rural health clinic.
