A/R Follow Up Specialist

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research insurance issues, and ensure resolution of payment discrepancies. Key responsibilities Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status through phone calls and insurance websites Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues Managing patient balances and performing additional duties as assigned Required qualifications 2+ years of A/R Follow Up (Insurance Collections) experience is required Medical billing experience is helpful, with preference for hospital claims and healthcare receivables experience 2+ years of office experience focused on problem solving and research Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes Prior computer experience is required
