Scribe Job Opportunity
The Scribe will assist the provider with the completion of his/her dictations to improve the efficiency and quality of each patient visit and the overall clinic flow. Job requirements include a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or certificate from college or technical school, 3 to 6 months of related experience, and a certificate from a medical assistant program preferred. The candidate should be able to type 45 WPM and have basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office.
Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to patients, relaying relevant information to the appropriate internal staff, assisting the provider in navigating the Electronic Health Record system, entering information into EHR as directed by the provider, researching information as requested by the provider, responding to various messages as requested by the provider, assisting the physicians/physician assistant with documenting patient care in the electronic medical record, participating in office meetings and educational activities, complying with HIPAA procedures, maintaining work area in a neat and orderly manner, and other duties as assigned.
