Commercial HVAC Technician

Coho Construction Management is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to support operations at the National Museum of the United States Army located on Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of commercial and industrial HVAC&R systems in a secure, high-profile government environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while supporting mission-critical facilities. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC&R systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure optimal system performance. Read and interpret commercial blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot BAS/DDC systems, including pneumatic and digital controls. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Support boiler, chiller, and stationary equipment operations as required. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including EPA standards. Communicate system conditions, repair needs, and corrective actions to facility staff and non-technical personnel. Maintain accurate service documentation and reports. Perform duties in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying environmental conditions. Maintain professionalism and reliability while working in a government and high-security environment.
