Details Work setting is a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah Emergency Department with 48 beds plus flex space Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, and substance abuse presentations, with common diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, abdominal pain, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track Shift is mids, rotating across a combination of three shift windows: 10am–10pm, 12pm–12am, and 3pm–3am (12-hour shifts) Minimum of two weekends per schedule required No on-call or float requirements EMR is Cerner Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and Ultrasound Guided IV 13-week contract Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required Minimum education: RN ADN Additional Information Department operates under a team nursing and Pod System model A social worker is assigned to the department and a Unit Educator is available for support An area‑specific competency exam and skills checklist are required for consideration American Traveler Job ID #P-716462.
