Student Employment - Student Advocacy and Outreach Specialist for No Cost / Low-Cost Textbooks

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date. Job Summary This is a Campus Internship Program (CIP) position offered through the ePortfolio Office. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in 9 credit hours during Fall and Spring and 6 credit hours in the Summer Semester and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. This position requires you to interact with others with various levels of English proficiency in-person, on the phone, and through email and text messages. The applicant must be able to self-start and work under limited supervision, maintain confidentiality and work in a collaborative team setting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities This is an entry level position, and all students are welcome to apply. Through employment in the ePortfolio lab, students will develop: Knowledge of ePortfolio technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Ability to use Mac and PC operating systems and familiarity with mobile devices. Customer service and strong written and oral communication. Self-motivated, creative, and able to work and accomplish tasks with minimal direct supervision. Ability to prioritize tasks as they arise and meet multiple deadlines in a timely manner and do so effectively under stress. Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities. Minimum Qualifications SLCC student - GPA 2.0 or higher Currently enrolled in 6 credit hours for fall semester. Currently enrolled in 6 credit hours for spring semester.
