Wire EDM Programmer | 2nd Shift 

Location : Bluewater Area

Job Type: Direct Hire 

2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday

• 4 Day Work Week | Friday Overtime as Needed

We are partnering with an exceptional, well established precision manufacturing client in the Port Huron area to hire an experienced Wire EDM Programmer. Position Summary

The Wire EDM Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Wire EDM equipment to manufacture precision components and tooling to exact specifications. This position requires strong Wire EDM programming experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work with tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM machines for precision manufacturing applications
• Develop and modify Wire EDM programs based on engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances
• Determine appropriate machine settings, cutting strategies, offsets, and machining sequences
• Set up workpieces, fixtures, tooling, and machine parameters
• Perform first piece inspections and verify completed parts meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished components
• Troubleshoot programming, setup, and machining issues
• Make program and process adjustments to improve accuracy, quality, and efficiency
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel to resolve technical issues
• Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures

Qualifications- REQUIRED

• Previous Wire EDM programming, setup, and operating experience
• Strong knowledge of Wire EDM machining principles and processes
• Ability to independently program and set up Wire EDM equipment
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience working with tight tolerance precision components
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a manufacturing team
