Shipper/Receiver

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Shipper & Receiver / Advanced Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong forklift experience, excellent material-handling skills, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and shipping materials and products while ensuring inventory is handled accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, parts, and supplies and verify quantities against shipping documents.
• Prepare and stage materials for production and outgoing shipments.
• Pick, load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Ensure materials are stored and organized appropriately.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced forklift experience is required.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• Strong material-handling experience, including moving large, heavy, or oversized materials.
• Valid driver's licence and a good driving/safety record .
• Ability to safely load and unload trucks and secure materials for transportation.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
