Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency and urgent veterinary care to patients presenting with a broad range of medical and surgical conditions. Rapidly assess and stabilise emergency patients, developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans based on individual clinical needs. Perform emergency procedures and soft tissue surgeries where clinically appropriate. Manage hospitalised and critically ill patients while maintaining clear and accurate medical records. Collaborate with specialists in Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Surgery to provide coordinated care for complex cases. Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis and ongoing care. Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants and support colleagues to maintain an efficient and collaborative emergency service. Candidate Profile Applicants should hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent and hold, or be eligible to obtain, veterinary licensure in Idaho. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency medicine environment and committed to delivering excellent clinical and patient care. Strong communication, teamwork and decision-making skills are important, alongside the ability to remain organised when managing urgent and complex cases.
