Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Duluth, GA (In Office)
Pay: $21-$24/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Duluth. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Daily cash posting and customer payment application
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable data entry
- Billing and invoice posting
- Payroll-related entries (weekly and biweekly)
- Monthly commission entries
- Expense reimbursements
- Journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close and audit requests
- Collection calls and AR follow-up
- Support light HR-related administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Approximately 2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is a plus
- Payroll, onboarding, and benefits experience is a plus, but not required
