Surgical Technologist (CVOR)

The Surgical Technologist Certified functions under the direction of the registered professional nurse to assist in providing safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware patient care during moderate to high acuity surgical cases. The role involves preparing the operative suite, assisting with instrumentation and supplies, maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures. The technologist actively participates in performance improvement initiatives, ensures compliance with safety standards, and collaborates with team members to promote optimal patient outcomes. Additional duties include inventory management, room turnover, patient transport, and mentorship of students and new hires. Call and late coverage may be required.
