As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in Evansville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and perform routine patrols while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring strong customer service and communication skills while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to control authorized access for people, vehicles, and shipments entering or leaving the location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, including gates, loading areas, parking areas, and other restricted spaces where working conditions may vary.
- Document security-related activities, access events, and incident details in logs and reports, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
