We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to support our growing operations in Charlotte. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of ready‑mix concrete trucks, dump trucks, trailers, mobile construction equipment, and plant support equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting complex mechanical issues and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair ready‑mix concrete trucks, dump trucks, pneumatic tankers, trailers, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and other mobile equipment Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and construction equipment Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic control systems Repair and replace engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulic components, and electrical systems Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they result in downtime Assist with emergency breakdowns in the field when necessaryPerform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed Maintain accurate repair records and work orders Collaborate with operations personnel to maximize fleet availability and productivity What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 3+ years of diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment/mobile repair experience High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and air brake systems Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working on ready‑mix concrete trucks CDL Class A or B (or willingness to obtain) Diesel Technician Certification Welding and fabrication experience Familiarity with Cummins, Detroit, CAT, Allison, and hydraulic systems Experience with fleet maintenance software and electronic diagnostics Why Join Crete Solutions?
