Senior Consultant on the Provider Payment Modeling (PPM) team focused on Cost Reporting and Supplemental Payments, Rate Setting and Payment Innovation. This position will focus primarily on leading projects related to Medicaid financing for a range of provider types including behavioral health, primary care and institutional providers. Duties and Responsibilities Serves as project manager and subject matter expert within the practice with a strong understanding of federal requirements for funding and service provision, particularly Medicaid finance. Oversees cost reporting projects to ensure the collection and review of financial data from healthcare providers Develops and executes new growth strategies relating to healthcare financing Identifies new sales opportunities and follow-up on sales leads. Understands and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements. Analyzes and interprets federal and state law and regulation. Reviews and be an expert in business operations for service and efficiency improvements. Independently manages complex projects, staff and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations. Develops communication plan with clients. Identifies and elicits requirements from key stakeholders in each engagement. Facilitates client discussions. Identifies gaps and shortcomings, and determine necessary workarounds. Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members. Assesses best practices and compliance errors and provide technical assistance to clients. Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions. Prepares other written reports and materials for clients. Manages daily project functions and client interaction. Required Skills Strong quantitative skills and able to analyze and interpret financial data including medical claims and financial reports. Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs and regulations. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly for complex analytical projects related to healthcare finance. Able to work independently and consistently achieve excellent results. Able to work effectively with all members of project teams. Outstanding oral and written presentation skills Demonstrated initiative and the ability to successfully identify new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers. Qualifications Bachelor degree or 10 years’ experience required, graduate degree preferred 5-10 years’ relevant work experience. Supervisory Responsibility Business Analyst Consultants Working Conditions Some travel required Compensation: Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave. Range: $88,900 - $145,000 PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship.
