OPS Dental Hygienist - 64906215This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County. This is an in-office and field work position. Experience, education, and/or training used to meet the minimum qualifications and in response to the qualifying questions must be verifiable through information contained in your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This OPS Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing dental preventive care and oral health education in the clinic setting and/or in the setting of a mobile school-based sealant program. Duties and responsibilities of this position include:Provides preventative oral care and oral health education to patients and community partners.Provides instruction/education to patients in preventive oral/dental health techniques.Provides dental assessment and oral hygiene instructions to participating clients.Completes and maintains patients' medical records.Performs dental hygiene related work (per Florida statutes) as required.Provides dental sealants and fluoride varnish as required in the outreach program.Participates in set up and break down of equipment and supplies for the school-based sealant program.Maintains professional representation of the program with the school staff and community partners.Performs other related duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:Knowledge and understanding principles and importance of customer service.Ability to speak clearly and politely.Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.Skill in operating a personal computer.Ability to operate general office equipment.Ability to follow office procedures & practices.Ability to organize & maintain filing systems.Ability to plan, organize & coordinate work assignments & communicate effectively verbally & written.Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with othersAbility to understand, interpret & apply applicable rules, regulations, policies & procedures.Ability to prioritize individual workload.Ability to frequently bend, kneel, reach, and sit or stand for long periods of time.Ability to frequently use telephone, computer, copier and small hand tools(ex. stapler, scissors, etc.).Ability to locate information that is listed alphabetically & numericallyAbility to follow instructions.Ability to review data for accuracy & completeness.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.This position requires current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.Valid driver's license, free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purposes and receive reimbursement for mileage.Licensed as a dental hygienist in accordance with Chapter 466, Florida StatutesOne (1) or more years of experience with placing dental sealants.One (1) or more years of experience working with pediatric dental patients.WHERE YOU WILL WORK: BROWARD COUNTY
