• License/Certifications: Michigan license required, no IMLC, current license preferred
• Experience: Board certification or eligible for certification, prior experience preferred but not required

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and manage ocular conditions
• Provide guidance on eyewear, contact lenses, and vision therapies
• Prescribe medications and treat eye diseases within scope of practice
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including residents and medical students
• Stay current with industry best practices and clinical advancements
• Assist with pre/post-operative care, including contact lens fittings and ocular therapeutics
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and patient needs, including 24-hour on-call duties

What You Need

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and Alabama State Optometry License
• Prior experience in primary eye care preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and patient management skills
• Ability to respond to urgent needs within designated response times
• Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and teamwork
