Location: Spokane, WA (On-site)

Position Type: Contract / Temporary (Expected Duration: 12 Weeks / 480 Hours) — Potential for Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week, no weekends)

Pay Range: $37.00 - $58.00 / hour (Depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to join a busy, fast-paced specialty clinic in Spokane. In this role, you will manage recovery for approximately 9 to 12 cases per day, ensuring seamless pre-operative and post-operative care.

This is an immediate-need, temporary role to support a tight-knit team, with the potential to convert to a permanent position for the right fit. If you are an adaptable, clear-headed RN who thrives in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Perform comprehensive pre-operative physical assessments; accurately communicate vital data to anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Recovery Management: Monitor post-operative vital signs, manage patient pain and nausea, and swiftly intervene during adverse changes or arrhythmias.
• Technical Execution: Initiate IV fluids, interpret EKGs/diagnostic tests, and safely administer medications.
• Patient Advocacy & Education: Provide individualized discharge instructions to patients and families; conduct routine 48-hour follow-up calls.
• Operations: Maintain meticulous patient charts, complete surgical/recovery logbooks, and assist with inventory and supply management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) state licensure in Washington.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Experience & Pay Scale: * 1–3 years of experience required (qualifies for lower end of pay scale).
• 5+ years of experience preferred (qualifies for high end of pay scale).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR software (EPIC experience is highly preferred) and basic computer applications (Word/Excel).
• Soft Skills: Ability to handle stressful, rapidly changing conditions; excellent judgment on when to escalate clinical situations; ability to work independently while remaining a dedicated team player.
